The iPhone cameras have proven their worth with every generation as legions of photographers have moved on to smartphone photography. But there is always room for improvement, right?
Enter the Ladibird. It is a clever accessory – or as the inventors call it “appcessory” – for iPhones to make them perform even better. Why carry a heavy dSLR around when you can be ever ready for the next great photograph with this device?
The iPhone slides into Ladibird casing with a built in 50mm f/1.8 lens coupled with a large CMOS sensor. The single button works just like any camera shutter button. There is also an accompanying app. The Ladibird is designed for iPhone 5 and onwards.
The three Singapore based innovators of this ingenious and streamlined camera cum smartphone add-on have successfully funded the first round of their project on Indiegogo. This start up is based in the University of Singapore. The first production models will be shipped out to early funders in June 2014. The expected retail price for the end of the year is $300.
