Seattle based photographer, Brittany Wright of WrightKitchen has set her sights on food. She says, “I’m working on my life goal of teaching myself how to cook everything and anything. I enjoy the science behind cooking and experimenting with flavors. I see food as an art, and an opportunity to do something creative.” That opportunity includes her Food Gradients series where her gradudated colorful fruit and vegetables photographs showcases what we eat in all their different forms and hues.
The results of her carefully arranged compositions are visually stunning. She puts together items which are in different stages of the ripening process or she mixes them up by category such as the citrus fruit image above. It is a refreshing artistic take on the food we eat one which shows us there is beauty in what we often regard as sustenance only.
Brittany is also on Instagram.
