Taiwanese photographer, Cheng Ting Ting‘s branded fruit photography is indeed thought provoking. Top brands like Tiffany, Sony and Louis Vitton command high prices but would their logos hold as much impact if they were found in common fruit?
She says, “Still Life with Fruits is about fetishism of commodities. It is an allusion to overrate the product, enchanting people to buy it.”
Her beautiful photographs of artfully arranged fruit and vegetables like orange, pomelo, peppers and bananas have drawn or carved logos on them. Even on unfamiliar territory, the brands are easily recognizable.
